| SETS, the Scottish Evangelical Theology Society, began life as the Scottish equivalent of the Tyndale Fellowship. We are affiliated to UCCF, and subscribe to their doctrinal basis. We seek to promote Scottish theology which serves the churches, is faithful to Scripture, grounded in scholarship, and catholic in scope. We meet to grapple with current issues from an evangelical theological perspective at our annual conference and in local groups where possible. SETS membership costs £12.50 per year, including two issues of the Scottish Bulletin of Evangelical Theology (SBET). SBET is edited by the Revd. Dr. Alistair Wilson, and published jointly with Rutherford House. Back issues are available on request. The Finlayson Lecture is given each year at the conference, in honour of R A Finlayson, for many years Professor of Systematic Theology at the Free Church College, Edinburgh, who was the first chairman of the Scottish Tyndale Fellowship and then president of SETS.
