Words of Life (Edinburgh)
SETS joins with UCCF in sponsoring a day conference on the doctrine of Scripture, with Rev Dr Timothy Ward.
When we say that the Bible is the ‘word of God’, what are we actually saying? And what are we not saying? Getting our doctrine of Scripture right is vital to our thinking, living and mission as Christians in the world.
Come and spend a day thinking deeply with other theology and philosophy students, church leaders, and interested others. All welcome!
Speaker: Tim Ward is Associate Director of the Cornhill preachers training course (London), author of Words of Life: Scripture as the Living an Active Word of God (IVP, 2009), and of Word and Supplement: Speech Acts, Biblical Texts, and the Sufficiency of Scripture (OUP, 2002). He did his doctoral studies at the University of Edinburgh.
